This series consists of minutes and agenda papers, mostly signed, for the meetings of the Academic Board of the Mitchell College of Advanced Education. The agendas are included from the meeting held on 22 May 1985 onwards. The minutes and agendas, which also include any attachments for the meetings, are all typed and arranged in chronological order. For each meeting, the minutes are first, followed by the agenda and then any relevant attachments.The minutes document the decisions and resolutions made by the Board. The following information is contained in the minutes: the date, place and time of the meeting; those people present at the meeting; apologies from those unable to attend; information and resolutions referred to the board for approval from other committees and the Council; resolutions passed by the board itself; any correspondence tabled at the meeting; general business arising; matters raised by the principal, deputy principal and registrar; urgent business; action sheets; distribution sheets; and the date, place and time of the next meeting. The agendas outlined the format that the meetings followed and the matters that were to be addressed. This includes the attachments which gave members attending the meeting extra information pertaining to the topics for discussion on the agenda. Both the agendas and attachments were circulated prior to the meetings.
