资源简介:
Abstract Collective emotions have been manipulated in a variety of ways over time by a diverse group of actors. This is due to its behavioral effect on the masses, something that often occurs in the political field. A significant portion of the public adheres more readily to messages that can mobilize their feelings than to facts, especially in cases where they contradict their beliefs. This study exemplifies this type of occurrence with conspiracy theories that are now being widely disseminated in the Middle East media. This occurs because it results in emotional benefit, which eases guilt, names a scapegoat, and encourages victimization.
