Simulation data of inland and reef waters

This dataset contains <strong>Simulations.zip.</strong> Simulation data of the article by P. Gege and A.G. Dekker, "Spectral and radiometric measurement requirements for inland and reef waters". Submitted to Remote Sensing, 2020. The data are organized in the following subdirectories: /deep_standard: simulations for the standard scenarios of optically deep water. /deep_extreme: simulations for the extreme scenarios of optically deep water. /shallow: simulations for the shallow water scenarios. /all: copy of a subset of data from the folders /deep_standard, /deep_extreme and /shallow used for statistical analysis /Modtran: configuration files and output files of the Modtran simulations /Analysis: statistical analyses and SNR calculations derived from the simulations. <strong>Figures.zip.</strong> Plots and figures of the article in two subdirectories: /Techplot: contains all configuration files for the plots created with the plot program Techplot 6 (http://www.sftek.de/). For modifying or redrawing plots, updating the paths may be necessary as Techplot references the plotted data using absolute paths. Techplot is no longer available and not continued. /Figures: contains all Figures of the article <strong>WASI5.2_source.zip.</strong> Source code of version 5.2 of the software WASI which was used for the simulations. <strong>WASI5.2_exe.zip.</strong> Executable version of version 5.2 (16 Dec 2019) of the software WASI which was used for the simulations. Unpack the zip file such that d:/wasi5.2 is the main directory. Each series of simulations can be reproduced by replacing WASI5_2.INI with the corresponding configuration file (*.INI) from Simulations.zip. To make the INI files usable, replace all occurrences of 'wasi5.1' and 'wasi4' with 'wasi5.2' using a text editor. The software allows furthermore running additional simulations.
