AI-Integrated E-Commerce Architecture

As artificial intelligence (AI) becomes a core driver of business value, integrating AI into enterprise software architectures is both a technical and organizational challenge. This article presents lessons learned from deploying an AI-powered product recommendation and search personalization system for a major e-commerce platform serving both retail (B2C) and business (B2B) customers. We discuss architectural patterns, data pipeline design, and the iterative process of model training and deployment. Key challenges included capturing diverse user behaviors, ensuring data quality, and supporting progressive model learning. The resulting system significantly improved sales and customer engagement, especially for B2B clients.
