Swiss gauged catchments with unperturbed streamflow observations
收藏资源简介:
This Excel file contains a list of gauging stations of the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment that record streamflow that is, as far as known to the author, not (or only little) perturbed by hydraulic infrastructure, in particular not by water diversion or release for hydropower production or by upstream regulated lakes. The streamflow data from these stations is particularly useful to analyze natural streamflow gradients or to test hydrologic models. Attention: the streamflow at these stations can nevertheless be influenced by local water withdrawal for irrigation (often with mobile infrastructure). The information was collected by the author during different research projects, including personal interaction with the data provider. Please report any errors to the author (the degree of perturbation of the gauging stations can evolve). Detailed information on the catchments and corresponding discharge data are available from the CAMELS-CH data set: https://essd.copernicus.org/articles/15/5755/2023/, hourly discharge is available from the Hourly data base for Switzerland by M. Kauzlaric. The Swiss Federal Office for the Environment also developed a tool, called HydCheck, to judge the degree of anthropogenic influence on water flux and quality at a given location, available in German, French, Italian: https://www.bafu.admin.ch/bafu/de/home/themen/wasser/fluesse-und-baeche/wasserfuehrung-und-abflussregime-der-fliessgewaesser/beeinflussung-des-abflusses.html
