Data from: Hidden ecological erosion: Functional thinning is decoupled from taxonomic stability in phyllostomid bats across an artisanal small-scale gold mining gradient in the Peruvian Amazon

This dataset supports the findings of "Hidden ecological erosion: Functional thinning is decoupled from taxonomic stability in phyllostomid bats across an artisanal small-scale gold mining gradient in the Peruvian Amazon". It contains bat capture records (1,074 individuals from 45 phyllostomid species), functional trait data, site metadata, R scripts for all analyses (linear mixed-effects models, NMDS, PERMANOVA, IndVal), and supplementary material. Data were collected across five habitat categories (Forest, Forest Edge, Woody Regeneration, Herbaceous Regeneration, Bare Soil) in Madre de Dios, Peru, during dry (August 2023) and wet (March-April 2024) seasons.
