Effects of Dried Goji Powder on the Gut-Kidney Axis in Elderly Patients with Hypertensive Nephropathy

This dataset contains 16S rRNA gene sequencing data from a randomized controlled trial investigating the effects of dried goji (Lycium barbarum) powder on the gut microbiota of elderly patients with hypertension and mild renal impairment. Fecal samples were collected before and after a 30-day intervention from participants in both the goji powder group and the control group. The study aimed to assess whether dietary supplementation with goji powder could modulate the gut microbial composition in a population with early-stage hypertensive nephropathy. Sequencing was performed on the Illumina NovaSeq platform using paired-end reads.
