The invention relates to a method for producing a printing substrate for direct printing for producing a decorative panel， in particular a directly printed decorative panel without a stabilizer. The invention further relates to a decorative panel that has a printing substrate produced according to a method according to the invention. Following the method according to the invention， a resin composition having a melamine resin and/or a urea resin is applied in order to form the printing substrate， said resin composition first being dried by exposure to heat and then being treated with UV radiation.
