Cyclic Laboratory Test Data of Soil Samples from Adapazari, Turkiye

Severe liquefaction-induced ground failure was observed in the Adapazari region following the 1999 Kocaeli, Turkiye earthquake. Many of the soils that failed were fine-grained and not traditionally considered susceptible to liquefaction at the time of the earthquake. Geotechnical site investigations and cyclic laboratory tests performed on the soils were presented by Sancio (2003) and Bray and Sancio (2006). The goal of the present study is to present the raw laboratory test data performed on undisturbed samples from the region of severe ground failure that was developed from the past studies. The data are presented in Excel files containing a summary tab showing the key parameters of the test results along with the measured raw data from these tests. Moreover, the tests performed to determine index properties of each specimen, which are Atterberg limits and/or grain size distributions, are presented on separate tabs, if applicable. The raw data is a digital version of plots originally presented in the Sancio (2003) PhD dissertation, and the naming of the specimens along with key parameters is provided therein.
