Animation of the Average Age of Seasonal Ice in the Eastern Bering Sea - winter 2009-10

The animation shows the average age of the seasonal sea ice for the winter of 2009-10 from a simulation of a coupled sea ice-ocean model. 10m wind vectors are overaid. All ice entering the domain from the arctic is assumed to have formed on November 1st 2009. Refer to the publication for further details.
