The microwestern is a meso-scale quantitative western blotting assay using infrared fluorescence. Level 1 data are raw signal (background subtracted) from a single "spot" (band). Level 2 data are Level 1 data divided by a loading control signal (e.g. tubulin). Level 3 data are Level 2 data divided by a biological internal control (e.g. Level 2 data corresponding to serum-starved conditions). Level 4 data are averages across Level 3 replicates.
