The Vaginal Microbial Signatures of Preterm Birth Delivery in Indian Women

Reproductive tract of healthy women and small intestine are enriched with Lactobacilli. The present study was designed to explore abonduance and genomic contents of Lactobacillus species isolated from the vaginal milieu of Indian women delivered term (TB) and preterm (PTB) babies. To understand the vaginal microbiota of GARBH-Ini enrolled TB and PTB delivered mothers and differential abundance of Lactobacillus species. Whole genome analysis of dominant Lactobacillus species to identify potential genomic features that may have role in TB and PTB.
