资源简介:
In this work, we evaluated bacterial communities from nine different GIT segments (rumen, reticulum, abomasum, duodenum, ileum, cecum, colon and feces) in Bactrian camel. Our result showed that there are significant differences in microbial community composition between the segments of the GIT in Bactrian camel and it suggested that this phenomenon may be related to host diet and environment. We also found greater proportion of Akkermansia were found in the large intestine and fecal samples, and it is tempting to speculate that this microbe community within the Akkermansia could harbor the necessary GM functions for Bactrian camel to deal with high Blood glucose levels and tolerate a high dietary intake of salt, yet they do not develop diabetes or hypertension. Furthermore, the study predicted the metagenomic profiles among GIT regions. The results showed that the enrichment associated with replication and repair and amino acid Metabolism in forstomach, while higher abundance carbohydrate metabolism large intestine and feces.
