Whole genome sequencing of three probiotic Enterococcus faecalis strains

Some Enterococcus faecalis strains have been shown to provide beneficial effects on human and animal health. Three of those strains are contained in the probiotic drug Symbioflor1, provided by SymbioPharm (Herborn-Hoerbach, Germany). While this product is used in humans for decades without severe side effets and in this way is considered as safe, it is an essential step to ensure complete safety by evaluating their whole genomic content.
