VPRS 18390 Card Register to Suggestion Files

This series is a card register for suggestions received from employees (and possibly members of the public) for improvements to the railway services and operations. As well as providing a summary of each suggestion and their outcome, the cards are a control record for VPRS 12958 Suggestions Files.The information recorded for each suggestion includes: suggestion number; name of individual; subject matter; date received; date completed; course of file; award; savings (annual and bulk); and decision.In addition to the registration cards, there are two files containing statistics compiled on the suggestions, dating back to 1921. The later statistics were compiled by the Suggestions Officer.
