Tashi Dorji talks about the Naked Dance and its history. As there was no funds for the consecration of Dukti Lakhang, Tshong Tshongma Lopen devised the culture of the Naked Dance in Dukti Lakhang. Historically, all the males have to take part in this Naked Dance on the 9th day, the 5th month of the Tibetan calendar, to collect donations from the community. On the Tshechi (10th day), the Tshechu takes place. During this recording Sangay Tshering, a researcher of Bhutan Oral Literature Project, also appears. This recording was done in the evening, as it was raining the whole day.. Language as given:
