VPRS 15583 Student Assessment and Accreditation Publications (Matriculation and Leaving Certificate)

This series consists of documentation produced as part of the process of the management of the assessment and accreditation of subjects for Matriculation and Leaving Certificate examinations. These tasks were handled by the University of Melbourne between 1944 and 1964. The publications were produced mainly for the direction and benefit of schools providing post compulsory education in these subjects.Specific records held in this series are the published Handbooks of Public and Matriculation Examinations (1951-1964) and Reports of Examiners (1948 - 1964).Prior to their transfer to PROV, the records in this series were maintained by former Education History Unit. The Unit, in turn, inherited these records from another source, presumably from a specialist library elsewhere in the department.
