The Second Independent Trial - using transcriptomics technology to explore the intestinal health of piglets infected with PEDV

Our research team recently conducted seven independent animal experiments at differnt time and investigated the role of PEDV on piglet intestinal health. We collected the samples for transcriptomics, proteomics, or metabolomics anakysis. This is the second independent trial. In the present trial, 12 seven-day-old crossbred (Duroc x Landrace x Large White) healthy piglets were selected and the transcriptomics analyses were conducted on the small intestine of piglets infected with PEDV. Our purpose is to identify and validate prospective targets for both diagnostic and therapeutic purposes in the context of PEDV. Importantly, this study offers a novel perspective for understanding the pathogenesis of PEDV and provides new insights into its prevention and control.
