This BioProject contains demultiplexed Illumina amplicon sequencing reads (eDNA metabarcoding) generated from surface seawater samples collected in Lake Shihwa, South Korea. Samples were collected across eight stations (two exterior: SH1-SH2; six interior: SH3-SH8) along a strong environmental gradient and filtered (2 L per station) using Sterivex 0.22 um enclosed filters. Two genetic markers were amplified to profile eukaryotic plankton communities: COI and 18S rRNA. Libraries were prepared with Nextera indexing and sequenced on an Illumina MiSeq platform using 2 x 300 bp paired-end reads. The data are provided as demultiplexed FASTQ files for downstream community and network/modularity analyses.
