Adipose tissue has a high rate of somatic mutation in mice. We generated whole genome sequence from both gonadal adipose tissue and tail tissue from one obese and one lean C57BL/6ByJ mouse. By comparing the mutation identified in adipose tissue to tail from the same animal, we seek evidence that the mutational burden increases with obesity.
