GI-ARS Efficacy Study in Rhesus Macaques after Partial Body Irradiation (PBI/BM5) - Control Animals

The primary objective of this pilot study was to determine whether the 15-day survival of nonhuman primates (NHP, rhesus macaques) exposed to partial-body irradiation sparing approximately 5% of the bone marrow (PBI/BM5) at the approximate LD50/15 dose with the protocol-specified medical management could potentially be increased by administration of a Test Article starting 24 hours (± 2 hours) after irradiation, as compared to the administration of a vehicle Control Article (CA) according to the same regimen. Animals in this cohort are from the CA group.
