WISO-SAT: A global database of stable hydrogen isotopes in water vapor from eight satellite missions

WISO-SAT is a harmonized collection of monthly gridded atmospheric water-vapor isotope products from eight satellite missions: SCIAMACHY, GOSAT, GOSAT-2, TROPOMI, TES, AIRS, CrIS, and IASI. The dataset provides instrument-specific Level-3 NetCDF products on common latitude-longitude grids at 1 × 1 degree and 5 × 5 degree horizontal resolutions and includes stable hydrogen isotope ratios in water vapor, water vapor quantities, and uncertainty, quality-control, and retrieval-diagnostic variables where available. Each file preserves the identity and retrieval characteristics of the original satellite product while using consistent gridding, metadata conventions, and variable naming where available. The repository contains a Data folder with the gridded NetCDF products, a Codes folder with MATLAB and Python scripts used for preprocessing and harmonization, and a README file describing file contents, variables, temporal coverage, and usage notes. The dataset is intended for satellite intercomparison, isotope-enabled model evaluation, climatological and seasonal analyses, and studies of atmospheric moisture transport and water-cycle processes.
