The objective of this study was to work with Agroecology with visually impaired students through the construction of a compost bin at the school. This research was conducted at the Hélio Góes Institute -Society for the Assistance of the Blind, Fortaleza, CE, Brazil. To conduct this work, questionnaires were administered before and after the activity. It was found that 58.3% of the students were unaware of Agroecology, but 58.3% were familiar with the composting technique. At the end of the activities, 90% of the students had understood what Agroecology represented, as well as the importance of composting for environmental conservation.
