Slopocene Icons

Research background: AI slop is disseminating throughout the internet including low quality anatomy images that further right wing objectives. Research significance: Slopocene icons is a work about the right wing connections to generative AI, drawing on neoclassical aesthetics favored by fascists to create slop using a specially trained AI slop generative AI. These are then converted to 3D models and broken down in various ways for video, projection and 3D printing Research Contribution: this work was exhibited in three exhibitions throughout greater Melbourne at federation square, bunjil place and Collingwood yards. It has been the subject of a paper, conference talks and panels. The discussion of the work and the work itself helped to foster discussion about the agenda behind generative art.
