This data set contains Northern Hemisphere surface pressure and precipitation data prepared by the U.S.S.R. The surface pressure grids include average monthly pressures for 1873-1981 and climatological normals by month for 1873-1973 and 1931-1960. Precipitation grids include percentages of normal for all Januarys and all Julys for 1891-1979. DSS has created a GRIB [https://rda.ucar.edudocs/formats/grib/gribdoc/] version of this set for users who prefer the GRIB format.
