In the present study, we performed whole exome sequencing and RNA sequencing analysis of tissue from patients with LUSC and matched controls to identify specific immune subtype interactions with the LUSC microenvironment. We further examined how the genomic alterations have a major effect on the tumor microenvironment and tumor development in a subtype-specific manner.
