Next-generation Sequencing of Soft Tissue and Bone Tumors

This dataset contains next-generation sequencing (NGS) data generated from a bone tumor located in the proximal femur of a patient. The diagnostic histopathology was challenging, prompting molecular profiling to achieve a definitive diagnosis. NGS analysis revealed a pathogenic mutation in the H3F3A gene, which is a highly specific driver mutation for Giant Cell Tumor of Bone (GCTB). This molecular finding was instrumental in confirming the final diagnosis of GCTB, guiding clinical management, and providing crucial information for prognosis. The data is shared to facilitate research on the molecular pathogenesis of bone and soft tissue tumors.
