Italy: number of museum visitors by city 2015

This statistic illustrates the number of visitors to government funded museums in selected Italian art cities in 2015. According to the study, Rome was the city with the highest number of museum visitors: over 17 million, almost three times as many as in Florence (more than six million), while museum attendance in Pompei stood at three million visitors. By contrast, there were only 790 and 760 thousand museum visitors in Milan and Venice, respectively.
