Furnishing of household with equipment of entertainment electronics.

Topics: detailed recording of possession, number, location, brand
designation, main user and point in time of acquisition of television
sets, stereo systems, home radio, portable radio, cassette tape
recorder, reel-to-reel tape recorder, record player, radio and cassette
equipment for the car. The following additional questions were posed
regarding acquisition of the above-mentioned equipment as well as
watches and video recorders in the last six months before the survey:
brand and type designation of equipment; predominant location; exact
purchase price; type of business; month of purchase; purchase or gift;
purchased used; main user; year of acquisition, usability and use of
previous equipment; possession of video camera; possession of film
camera; use of video recorder; purchase decision and product
information used; frequency of recording television broadcasts; use of
pre-programability of video recorder; frequency of trips to video
renters; number, characteristics and main borrower of video cassettes;
preferred video films; frequency of use of video camera within and
outside of the house.

Miscellaneous: attitude to new developments in television and record
technology; number of main or extension telephones in the primary and
second home; average monthly telephone charges; frequency of reading
the magazine ´Bunte´.

The following questions were posed only to women: self-classification
as well as classification of spouse or friend in a fashion typology;
purchase price of the last winter coat purchased for oneself or one´s
partner.

Demography: sex; year of birth; marital status; ages of children
(classified); religious denomination; school education; vocational
training; occupational position; employment; household income;
respondent is head of household; characteristics of head of household;
characteristics of person managing household; number of persons in
household with their own income; readiness for a telephone interview;
year of household founding.

Interviewer rating: city reference number; place of work; date of
interview.
