MDCKII mRNAseq (non-compressed and compressed)

In this study, the goal was to analyze how lateral intercellular mechanical compression alters the gene expression, and how pre-lamin A knockout (LMNA KO) influences this process. For this study, epithelial Madine Darby canine kidney type II (MDCKII) and their derivative LMNA KO cells were grown on fibronectin-coated pre-stretched (25 % tensile strain) PDMS membrane assembled in our in-house built Brick Strex cell stretching device. Compression was accomplished by gradual release of the pre-strech resulting in a 20 % compressive strain. mRNA was extracted after 2 h recovery from the stretch. In WT, non-compressed control and compression samples have three independent biological replicates, in LMNA KO there are two independent replicates of CTRL, and three independent biological replicates of compression.
