Dataset 2 is composed by two CSV files, defined as follow:
i. alpha2.csv (2561x90): This file contains the measured acoustic absorption coefficient data:
· The 90 rows correspond to the values of the acoustic absorption coefficient at each frequency, obtained by varying a set of categorical variables.
ii. target2.csv (90x11): This file contains 90 one-hot encoded vectors, one for each acoustic absorption measurement reported in alpha2.csv. Each row describes the conditions under which the corresponding measurement was performed:
· Columns [1,2] à material (2);
· Columns [3,4] à protective layer (2);
· Columns [5,6,7,8] à humidity cycle (4);
· Columns [9,10,11] à specimen number (3);
Note: The frequency range spans from 250 Hz to 4250 Hz, with a resolution of 1.5625 Hz. The specimen is consistently tested at a humidity level of 40% (typical ambient office conditions) and under the same installation configuration (Type 3 – imprint-like condition). The variation in acoustic performance as a function of humidity cycles is specifically analyzed for the case with a protective layer. Cycle C0 refers to measurements taken before the start of humidification. Measurements associated with C1, C2, and C3 were performed after the specimen had been dried and returned to ambient humidity conditions (40%).
