NOX1 is essential for TNFa-induced intestinal epithelial ROS secretion and inhibits M cell differentiation [RNA-seq organoid]

Loss-of-function mutations of NOX1 is associated with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). In what epitheial cell types in human colon Nox1 is expressed is unclear. Here we performed RNA seq analysis of 50% WRN or 5% WRN treated human colonoid lines from IBD, UC and heathy donors. We showed Nox1 is mainly expressed in stem cell (50% WRN treated condition ) when comparing to coloncyte (5% WRN treated contion). Overall design: Transcriptome analysis of 50%WRN or 5% WRN treated human colonoid lines . 8 biological replicates colonoids lines per group were used in the studies.
