In vivo response of the transcriptome of human immune cells to vitamin D3 supplementation in a cohort of 45 individuals

In this study, we analyse the in-vivo modulation of the transcriptome of human PBMCs by a bolus of vitamin D3 (1000 IU/kg) over 24 hours. PBMCs of 45 healthy individuals were collected directly before and 24 h after an in-vivo intake of a single large bolus of 1000 IU/kg of vitamin D3. Analysis was performed on the cohort to identify vitamin D target genes.
