Enterococcus faecalis V583 Genome sequencing

Through RNA sequencing, our study allowed to highlight the transcriptomic response of the opportunistic pathogen Enterococcus faecalis to various stresses encountered during infection and in vivo conditions. We identified numerous genes that are differentially expressed, and also putative small RNAs. Among them, some have never been detected in previous studies. Moreover, these transcriptome studies highlight the fact that E. faecalis represents a redoubtable opportunistic bacteria because of its considerable stress response abilities, more than the expression of its virulence factors.
