Ancestral host reconstruction, biogeography and classification of the West-Palearctic Nomada (Apidae) using phylogenomics

Genus Nomada is widespread and species rich genus of cleptoparasitic bees. We present phylogeny based on 221 species of Nomada, collected predominantly in the West-Palearctic region, but American, Subsaharan and Oriental species are also included. Based on the phylogenetic analyses, we present ancestral host reconstruction, biogeography and subgeneric classification of Nomada. One former subgenus, Acanthonomada is raised to genus level.
