星形胶质细胞是中枢神经系统中最主要的细胞类型之一,参与调节中枢神经系统的多种重要生理功能,并与多种神经退行性疾病的发病进程有密切关系,但所发挥的作用以及相应的分子机制尚未完全确定,仍需进一步的探索。多巴胺是一种重要的神经递质,其与其受体参与多种神经系统功能的调节。除神经元外,星形胶质细胞中也存在多巴胺受体,但我们对于星形胶质细胞中多巴胺信号通路的功能了解甚少。本研究以星形胶质细胞中的多巴胺受体D2(Dopamine D2 receptor,Drd2)作为切入点,探究星形胶质细胞中多巴胺相关通路在多发性硬化症(multiple sclerosis,MS)中的作用,并以此为基础,探索基于小分子化合物的干预策略。

Astrocytes are one of the most predominant cell types in the central nervous system (CNS). They participate in regulating multiple critical physiological functions of the CNS and are closely associated with the pathogenesis of various neurodegenerative diseases. However, their exact roles and the underlying molecular mechanisms remain incompletely elucidated and require further investigation. Dopamine is an important neurotransmitter, and its signaling via dopamine receptors regulates a wide range of nervous system functions. In addition to neurons, dopamine receptors are also expressed in astrocytes, yet our knowledge of the functions of dopamine signaling pathways in astrocytes remains very limited. This study takes the dopamine D2 receptor (Drd2) in astrocytes as the starting point, to investigate the roles of dopamine-related pathways in astrocytes during multiple sclerosis (MS), and on this basis, explore intervention strategies based on small molecule compounds.
