Filling the GAPS for INVESTMENTS in SDGs / ESGs through Global Rainwater Management Program

A comparative tabular analysis of global water practices—including desalination, dams, and other infrastructure—shows the real cost of water per cubic meter, a critical metric for governments and investors. When evaluating investment, the foremost question is always Return on Investment (ROI). Providing the right answer to this question is decisive in attracting both public and private capital.This principle equally applies to climate finance and SDG-linked investments, yet the gap lies in the fact that very few sustainability practitioners can clearly demonstrate ROI. This shortfall directly contributes to the increasing deficiency in climate finance year by year.To address this, we present a finance-based comparison across key economic parameters: ROI, capital and operating costs (CapEx and OpEx), energy consumption, emissions, impacts on biodiversity, and alignment with the full spectrum of SDGs.Our analysis makes a strong case for water investments through the Global Rainwater Management Program (#GRMP). If adopted at a global scale, GRMP offers investors the potential to reach break-even within 4–6 years, delivering 16–26% annual returns. This positions GRMP among the highest-yielding investment opportunities available in any sector today.
