MODERN METHODS OF TEACHING ENGLISH TO STUDENTS

This article discusses modern methods of teaching English to students and their importance in the educational process. Today, English language teaching is changing rapidly because of technological development and innovative educational approaches. Traditional methods based mainly on grammar translation and memorization are gradually being replaced by interactive and student-centered teaching strategies. Modern methods such as communicative language teaching, task-based learning, cooperative learning, multimedia technologies, and gamification help students improve their language skills more effectively. These approaches increase learners’ motivation, participation, and confidence while making lessons more practical and engaging. The article emphasizes that modern teaching methods play a significant role in improving students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
