EXEMPTING MINORS FROM CRIMINAL LIABILITY: LIBERALIZATION AND REHABILITATION

This article analyzes the theoretical and legal foundations of the institution of exempting minors from criminal liability, its intrinsic connection with the principles of liberalization, and the importance of a rehabilitative approach. In modern criminal policy, mechanisms aimed at humanism, an individual approach, and the social adaptation of minors are gaining priority. The article examines the conditions and procedures for releasing minors from criminal liability from the perspective of the relevant norms of the criminal legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, international legal standards, and judicial practice.
