Data for: Os impactos do programa Minha Casa Minha Vida em condições de moradia nas cidades

Replication data for the study analyzing the causal impacts of the Minha Casa Minha Vida (MCMV) housing program on urban housing deficits and quality of life across 36 major Brazilian urban areas between 2011 and 2015. To address endogeneity and simultaneity biases in program allocation, the research employs a Shift-Share (Bartik) Instrumental Variable strategy (2SLS/MQO2E), interacting nationwide federal funding shocks from the Fundo de Arrendamento Residencial (FAR) with local political alignment measures derived from municipal elections. Standard errors are adjusted using the Driscoll-Kraay method to ensure robustness against spatial dependency and serial autocorrelation. The dataset includes socio-demographic controls from PNAD (IBGE) microdata, municipal-level housing delivery records from the Ministry of Cities, and quantitative deficit estimations from the João Pinheiro Foundation (FJP).
