Distribution of green bond issuers in China 2021, by industry

In 2021, over one-third of green bonds had been issued by the electricity, heat, gas and water production and supply industry which amounted to a total bond value of 163 billion yuan. The Chinese government introduced guidelines for green investment that are more in line with international standards which made products more appealing to investors.
