资源简介:
The study used a structured questionnaire to examine pineapple farmers' safety behaviour towards safe pesticides use in Central and Eastern regions of Ghana which are two out of the four pineapple growing regions in the Country. Ajzen's (1991) Theory of Planned Bahviour (TPB) was used as the anchor theory. The study used an extended version of the TPB with the addition of effectiveness of agricultural extension methods for building capacity or providing interventions to pineapple farmers on safe pesticides use in the study area. After four weeks of data collection, 301 farmers responded to the questionnaire and returned them. Partial Least Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) in Smart PLS version 4 was used for data analysis. The results revealed that attitude was the only predictor of intention while intention was the only predictor of safety behaviour in pesticides use among the farmers.
