Value of money supply M3 in Portugal 2018-2020

The statistic shows the development of the money supply M3 in Portugal from October 2018 to March 2020. The money supply is the amount of monetary assets available in an economy. M3, called the "broad money" is the sum of M1 (currency in circulation* and overnight deposits), M2 (M1 plus deposits with maturity of maximum two years and deposits redeemable at notice of maximum three months) and marketable instruments issued by Monetary Financial Institutions such as repurchase instruments or money market fund units. The value of money supply M3 (excluding currency in circulation) in Portugal amounted to approximately 13.45 trillion euros as of March 2020.
