Geonung Youn, Min Whan Jung, 2026This dataset contains neural and behavioral data used for the analyses reported in the manuscript “Selective memory consolidation: value-dependent reactivation of navigational experiences”. The data were collected from head-fixed mice navigating linear virtual environments associated with different reward probabilities (0.2, 0.4, and 0.8). Neuronal population activity was simultaneously recorded from the medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC) and intermediate CA1 (iCA1) using Neuropixels probes (versions 1.0 or 2.0). The dataset includes processed neural and behavioral variables used for the main analyses in the study. Behavioral variables include licking events, spatial position in the virtual environment, and trial structure associated with different reward probabilities. Neural variables include spike timing, ripple event timestamps, and derived metrics used for reactivation analyses. These data were used to examine how learned value modulates ripple-associated reactivation across hippocampal and prefrontal circuits during memory consolidation. All analyses use standard, publicly available tools described in the Methods section of the manuscript and summarized in the accompanying README file.
