PERSONNEL OF THE WARSAW RIVER YACHT-CLUB AT THE END OF THE XIX-TH CENTURY

The article deals with the personal composition of the board and members of the Warsaw River Yacht- Club at the end of the XIX century. The above-mentioned water sports organization was quite popular among amateur sportsmen of the Pryvysląskie region. In turn, the official authorities of the Warsaw Governor General's Office provided all possible support for the formation of the Warsaw River Yacht-Club. The social composition of the yacht clubs of the Russian Empire in the studied historical period included elite strata of society. However, the water sports societies of the Warsaw Governor General's Office, formed on ethnic grounds, were characterized by the presence of Poles from all estates. Such an approach to the admission of members of the public organization significantly distinguished the Warsaw River Yacht-Club among other Russian yacht clubs.
