资源简介:
Recent studies have indicated that oral health significantly influence brain functions, particularly cognitive abilities. Periodontal diseases and tooth loss may contribute to brain function impairment. This study demonstrates through a series of behavioral and molecular biology experiments that galanin likely plays a crucial role in mediating the impact of tooth extraction injury on cognitive function. To further elucidate the underlying mechanisms, hippocampal tissues were collected from mice of control group, molar-extracted group (ME), and group treated with M35 (a galanin inhibitor) after tooth extraction for single-cell RNA sequencing analysis, aiming to evaluate the effects of tooth extraction injury signals on the hippocampal microenvironment.
