Single promastigote form Leishmania mexicana cell as seen by scanning electron microscopy. Promastigote form Leishmania mexicana (WHO strain MNYC/BZ/62/M379) were grown in M199 (10% FCS, pH 7.4, 28°C). Cells were fixed with 2.5% glutaraldehyde, dehydrated in an alcohol/water series then then critical-point dried and sputter coated with gold. Image captured on a JSM-6390 scanning electron microscope (JOEL).

利用扫描电子显微镜观察到的利什曼原虫（墨西哥型）单细胞形态。利什曼原虫（墨西哥型）单细胞（世界卫生组织菌株MNYC/BZ/62/M379）在M199培养基（含10%胎牛血清，pH值为7.4，28°C）中培养。细胞经2.5%戊二醛固定，依次用酒精与水进行脱水处理，随后进行临界点干燥，并喷镀金膜。图像由JSM-6390扫描电子显微镜（JOEL公司生产）采集。
