Dataset for Influence of Boundary Conditions on the Sommerfeld Effect and SHM Crack Detection in a Non-Ideal Motor-Beam System

This repository contains the primary experimental data, post-processing scripts, and visual documentation for the research article investigating the influence of boundary conditions on the Sommerfeld effect and structural health monitoring (SHM) crack detection. The dataset captures the nonlinear electromechanical dynamics of a steel cantilever beam excited by a non-ideal DC motor via a belt transmission. The provided files enable the full reproduction of the analytical procedures, ranging from fundamental signal conditioning to the detection of fatigue crack initiation using time-frequency analysis (STFT).
