资源简介:
The main goal of this study is to deepen our understanding of the microbiomes associated with the accessory nidamental gland (ANG) in the cephalopod species, including golden cuttlefish (Sepia esculents), swordtip squid (Uroteuthis delis), and bigfin reef squid (Sepioteuthis lessoniana). By characterizing species-specific microbiomes and exploring the role of color region-dependent microbes, the research aims to elucidate how these microbes contribute to the reproductive fitness of the squid. This knowledge could provide insights into the regulatory mechanisms of host-microbiota interactions, potentially improving aquaculture practices for this valuable cephalopod species.
