WERAM is a database for histone acetyltransferases, histone deacetylases, histone methyltransferases, histone demethylases and acetyl- or methyl-binding proteins, which catalyze, remove and recognize histone acetylation and methylation sites as ‘writers’, ‘erasers’ and ‘readers’, and synergistically determine the ‘histone code’.
